U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish Bread

Serves: 8-10 | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 35 minutes

  • 3-4 whole #uscatfish fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 large loaf of French bread

  1. Prepare a large baking sheet with non-stick spray or parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350°.
  2. Lay your #USCatfish fillets on the tray and drizzle with olive oil. Season evenly with Cajun seasoning and bake for 20 minutes, or until fish is cooked through and flaky.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine butter and mayo and whisk until smooth. Add in garlic powder, Worcestershire, hot sauce, cheeses, and green onions.
  4. When catfish is cooked through, remove from the oven, flake with a fork and add into the butter mixture; stir until combined.
  5. Slice your French bread in half lengthwise and lay on another large baking sheet. Spread the catfish mixture evenly onto each side of bread, and bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is toasty.
  6. Remove from oven, cut into pieces and serve.
